TOC Americas represented a good opportunity to discuss and learn more about current industry trends. I found the panels to be insightful and interesting and it also provided a great opportunity to network with other industry professionals.
For us to participate in the TOC Americas constitutes an opportunity to interact with key players in the logistics chain of containers including terminal operators, shipping lines and suppliers of goods and services.
Sociedad Portuaria Regional De Buenaventura S.A.
The TOC Americas in Panama City was one of the best editions, not only by the quality of the exhibits and themes but because we learn about the progress of the canal expansion. This monumental work in the near future will mark the new stage from which the global maritime port activity will develop.
Port of Iquique
As always the organization of TOC Americas was impeccable and regarding my participation as a speaker meant I have contributed to a wider issue of productivity in the ports look, focused not only on equipment and technology but also on people and the community.
After having participated in two conferences, the number one priority for me is the networking. This event allows you to see an enormous amount of people in one place at one time in both formal discussions and social events. Not only do we see many suppliers and potential suppliers, but also many colleagues from past and present and this allows us to update our networks and learn even more about what is happening in the industry. The pluses are some of the lectures with excellent with new insights and even the contradictions that help put the global economics into perspective. In addition we learn about innovations in equipment handling and software programs and even some projections as to what will be available in the market in the future. Both years have brought something new and interesting. I look forward to participating again in Cancun next year.
