It’s that time of the year again! That time we’ve all been waiting for 10 months has finally arrived: TOC Americas Virtual Expo. Yes, we were supposed to meet in Lima, Peru, but the team managed to turn the negative news of COVID into a one-of-a-kind digital experience and we get to be part of history being made! After all, it’s not every day that the most important conference and exhibition in the Latin American maritime industry opens up to a new kind of experience, taking a much-deserved step into the future.
With only one more week to go to the digital debut of TOC Americas Virtual Expo, the team is ready to deliver the unique contents that make the difference when it comes to the TOC Americas experience. “TOC Americas Virtual Expo 2020 is more than just a series of exceptional webinars. What we have also tried to do is really capture the contact building and networking element of the live events, but in a digital format. Participants can search the attendee list (by contact name, by company name, by region, by job title, etc) to identify people of interest. And what’s more the A.I. powered contact-building tool will recommend relevant people and products based on your areas of interest. And if you aren’t interested? Simply “skip” that recommendation and move on. But if you like what you see – then feel free to start a conversation or to set up a meeting, it couldn’t be simpler or more effective! While we will all miss the stunning backdrop of some of Latin America’s most important port cities, this online alternative is by far the best-in-class for a business and
networking digital experience. The team and I can’t wait to welcome you to TOC Americas Virtual Expo; we will all be online - and so too will our dedicated Customer Services support team who are on hand before and during the event to assist with any platform queries that attendees may have,” says Suzanne Tiago, Head of Marketing, TOC Events Worldwide.
At TOC Americas Virtual Expo it’s not just about the speakers and the exhibitors who are the ones delivering the content but also, it’s about attendees, who are crucial for making the experience a well-rounded one. Amongst out first-class delegates are representatives from top industry companies such as A.P. Moller Capital; APM Terminals; Association of Lithuanian Stevedoring Companies; Autoridad Portuaria Nacional APN, Peru; Barbados Port Authority; Cámara Marítima y Portuaria de Chile; Cincinnati Barge & Rail Terminal; COLTUGS; Compañía Puerto Coronel S.A., Chile; DHL Global Forwarding; DP World; Exolgan Container Terminal; Hapag Lloyd Peru; Hutchison Ports LCT; Katoen Natie Terminals; Mersin International Port (MIP); MS Shipping; Panama Ports Company; Penn Terminals LLC; Port Authority of The Cayman Islands; Port Houston; PSA International Pte Ltd; Puerto Coquimbo, Chile; Puerto de Barranquilla, Colombia; Puerto Panul; Puerto Valparaíso, Chile; Puertos de Talcahuano, Chile; Sociedad Portuaria Buenaventura, Colombia; Terminal de Contenedores de Mariel S.A.; Terminal Portuario de Manta; and Yilport Iberia.
Port tour & agenda
A digital experience does not mean the absence of the on-site visits that make the TOC Americas Virtual Expo a must-attend event. The traditional port tour will not be an exception on this digital occasion. Delegates will be able to visit the Port of Long Beach thanks to virtual technology, allowing a thorough look through the facilities of this west coast container icon. Of course, the visit will follow a live Q&A session to discuss industry trends with the key players at the port.
The three days of presentations, exhibition, virtual visits and live networking will include sessions on the impact of COVID, road to recovery, ‘the new normal’,
IMO2020, ports & the digital revolution, digital disruption & the supply chain, new business & investment models, learning to adapt, infrastructure & development in Latin & Central America, among other relevant issues.
There’s still time to book a delegate pass and start your journey towards the best online industry experience! For more information on how to participate in TOC Americas Virtual Expo 2020, click here.
