Against the backdrop of the uncompromising U.S. trade agenda and the industry’s embrace of the newly expanded Panama Canal, the TOC Americas Conference and Exhibition (13 – 15 November) will return to Panama for a series of global and regional discussions and debates. Since TOC was last in Panama - just prior to the official
inauguration - the new Canal locks are now open for business facilitating record transits, making this the ideal time for TOC Americas to be back in Panama.
As Mr Jorge L. Quijano predicted in his keynote address in 2015, the expansion of the Panama Canal has radically altered how goods are moved, not only in the region but across the world. “Less than one year in, and the impact of the Expanded Canal is already evident across the world,” said Jorge L. Quijano speaking earlier this year. He continues “As liners continue to reroute services and consolidate cargo on larger vessels, we look forward to welcoming the increase of Neopanamax traffic with the same safe, reliable service our customers have come to expect.”
Jorge L. Quijano has just been confirmed to return to TOC Americas and deliver the Keynote Address at this year’s TOC Americas and will officially welcome the audience back to Panama for the first time in 3 years.
