Ilya Espino de Marotta began her career at the Panama Canal in 1985. She has more than 30 years of experience on the waterway, having worked in many of the organizations diverse departments. Previous to her appointment as Deputy Administrator, she was Vice-President of Maritime Operations, responsible for Canal transit operations, emergency response, marketing analysis and customer affairs.
As a marine engineer, she is most notably known for her leadership role as Executive Vice President of Engineering in charge of the Panama Canal Expansion Program. Additionally, Ilya oversaw Canal investment projects, construction contracts, purchasing, and the construction of the first bridge spanning the Canals’ Atlantic entrance.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering at Texas A&M University at Galveston, Texas, a masters in Engineering Economics from Universidad Santa Maria La Antigua in Panama City, Panama. Additional academic achievements include Executive Development Programs at INCAE School of Business, and Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Eduardo Cerdeira graduated from the Escuela Nacional de Nautica in Argentina in 1990, obtaining his degree as Overseas Captain in 1997; in addition, he took a course in Logistics at the Getulio Vargas Foundation in Sao Paulo. In 2019, he obtained a Diploma in Port Management with Merit from Lloyd's Maritime Academy of London.
Eduardo held Nautical Officer positions aboard Merchant Ships until 1998. Later that year, he was summoned to assume as Ship Planner and Operations Coordinator for the Joint Venture JSA and MSC do Brasil in Santos, Brazil. He maintained the abovementioned positions until 2010.
In 2010, he assumed his first position at ports as Planning Manager at the Port of Buenos Aires (DPWorld). In 2012, he was appointed as Operations Manager at Brasil Terminal Portuario (BTP), Santos. In 2015, he took over as Sales Director for South America at NAVIS LLC.
In 2018, he was hired by Yilport to take the position of Operations Manager at the Port of Paita, Peru. In 2020, he accepted the challenge of leading Puerto Bolivar in Ecuador as Terminal Executive Director, a position he holds today.

Ricardo Arten Gorzelak, Chief Executive Officer of Brasil Terminal Portuário (BTP), has more than 25 years of experience in the port sector.
He was appointed CEO of BTP in May, 2019, and in his current position for this company – a joint venture between Terminal Investment Limited (TiL)and APM Terminals – Ricardo has been successfully leading one of the largest port container terminals of South America.
He is also an active board member of ABRATEC – Brazilian Association of Container Terminals and associate member of Infrastructure Department (DEINFRA) of Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP).

Andrew Viray

Andrew joined Navis as a PS Consultant in 2013 and has played key lead roles in major go-lives for the GCT Bayonne (New Jersey) semi-automation project, Long Beach Container Terminals automation project, and recently the Port of Virginia upgrade and expansion project.
His main focus has been on Rail Automation, Semi-Automation, Emulation, System Integration and Yard/Vessel Operations.
He moved into a Sales Engineering role in early 2021 where he has been working with customers to better understand their terminal needs and demonstrate how Octopi, the Navis cloud-based TOS offering, has helped small to midsize terminals improve their operations.
Andrew received his Bachelors from University of Washington in Mechanical Engineering and his Masters in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley.
Before Navis, he worked for Boeing as a 787 Manufacturing Engineer from 2007 to 2013.

As a result, the extensive experience gained in the management of maintenance projects, the integral management of services and guarantees and the development of IIOT (Industrial Internet of Things) methodologies and technologies of Business Intelligence for terminals and their equipment from the perspective of a machinery manufacturer is combined with deep knowledge in the technical management of Maintenance and the implementation of new technologies in Container Terminals.
In his role as Managing Director of PACECO MOMENTUM ADVANCED PORT SERVICES, S.L. since 2018, business management, business development and development of new IIoT technologies expands his previous experience in the container handling industry.

Mr. Morales has an extensive background in project management, business consulting in IT and digital transformation. For one year ago is responsible for the development of Port Solutions at SICK. With more than 20 years of experience in the Technological arena allows him to analyze and develop security solutions for strategic accounts in the port sector for APM terminals, DP World, and Hutchinson Ports with the right solutions for these important accounts in LATAM.
Mr. Aurelio in his experience could manage Strategic Accounts with a presence in different latitudes across LATAM and now is responsible for the development and support of Mexico, Central America, and Caribe for all the portfolio of SICK Port Solutions.
Before joining SICK, Mr. Morales was a Strategic Account Manager at Honeywell SPS where he had the opportunity to coordinate teams of Engineering, Field Service, Maintenance contracts, Finance, Marketing, and Logistic to offer and maintain good quality service in all the territories where his clients had a local presence.
Mr. Morales is a graduate of the Universidad Tecnológica de México. He earned an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering and Organizational Systems with special recognition from Mexican President Carlos Salinas. In 2012 moved to Honduras as Country Manager for RANSA, a peruvian logistics operator. In 2014, moved back to Peru as COO for Neptunia, also a leading logistics and port operator.
