The maritime trade and port sector finds itself having to choose between free trade or protectionist tariffs, navigating volatility across global markets, understanding how to work with the new shipping alliances, and coping with uneasiness across ports and terminals caused by intensified market concentration, the impact of new technologies on the workforce, dealing with stricter environmental policies on one side vs the apparent return to traditional fuels, and uncertainty across the value chains.

However, and despite the apparent challenging scenario for maritime supply chains, each obstacle can be turned into an opportunity for growth.
